Information we collect

• Account and profile information: email address, display name, school, program, graduation year, and current stage.
• Content you provide: roadmap selections, coursework, experiences, notes, drafts, application-planning records, feedback, and other information you choose to save.
• Subscription information: plan, subscription status, billing-customer identifiers, and related transaction metadata. Stripe processes payment-card details; University LaunchPad LLC does not store full card numbers.
• Technical information: information needed for authentication, security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and operation of the service, such as browser, device, IP address, cookies, and request logs.
• Communications: messages and support requests you send to us.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, personalize and provide the service, save your work, process and synchronize subscriptions, respond to support requests, improve reliability and features, detect abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Microphone and speech features

Microphone access is optional and requires browser permission. University LaunchPad LLC does not upload or retain the audio recording as part of your account; audio playback and downloads are handled in your browser session. If you use speech recognition, your browser or its speech provider may process audio under its own terms. A transcript is stored in your account only when you choose to save it.

How information is shared

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate University LaunchPad, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for billing, and Resend for authentication email delivery. We may also disclose information to comply with law, protect users or the service, investigate misuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Data retention and security

We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and enforce agreements. We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can update certain profile information in the service. You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, or raise a privacy concern, by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some records may be retained when required by law or for legitimate security and accounting needs.

Children

University LaunchPad is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

United States processing and changes

University LaunchPad LLC and its service providers process information in the United States. We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date; material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email.
